When is a Reader not a Reader? When it can do more than just read PDFs! Gone are the days when feedback on a collaborative project meant following an email thread. Annotation is a great way to add comments and feedback directly to a document. Foxit PDF Reader makes it quick and easy to add your comments with the Annotate features. You can add notes, highlight text, underline text, strikeout text, and more. You can also use the Annotation tool to draw shapes directly on the document. The best part about Annotation is that you can do all of this without having to leave the document you’re working on. Here are some simply Annotation tips you need to know.
By the way, a shameless plug for Foxit: Before we added annotation to our free PDF reader, you had to pay—and pay a lot—just to annotate PDF files. That’s right. If you were using Adobe, you had to get Acrobat because Adobe Reader didn’t offer annotation tools. Foxit is always looking to deliver better functionality at lower costs to users and enterprises. Because of this, we have forced the industry (that is, Adobe) to respond and to make annotation a standard feature in free readers.

How can I change text in annotations to bold or italic (or underline that text)? Also, how can I increase the letter size of such annotation text?
Hi Gary, you can do that in the “Format” panel on the right side. It might be hidden. To unfold it, click on the little black triangle on the right side. Then, simply mark a word and then click on bold, italic, underline, etc. In the panel, you can also change the font size. Hope that helps!
